Founders

Mickey Weizmann

Chief Strategy Officer

Mickey is an accomplished leader, passionate technology executive, and serial entrepreneur who believes that we only have a finite amount of time on this planet to make a lasting positive mark. With that guiding principle in mind, he founded and served as CEO at Telcocell, a consulting company that was acquired by global communications leader, Ericsson, in 2013. Mickey brings 20 years of technology experience and is also currently Chairman of several technology startups and an angel investor.
He currently resides in Toronto, Canada with his wife and 4 kids. In his free time, he usually heads for the cottage with his family and friends for water sports, barbecue and drinks.
Why ImagineX?
My DNA as a “technopreneur” at heart is all about tenacity, passion, camaraderie, breaking the rules, culture, and always having start up mentality with a flat org. ImagineX gives me the opportunity to drive more disruption and exponential growth in everything I continue to involve myself in. I love the dynamics and potential of the industry, impact on our clients’ businesses and the “Sky’s the Limit” potential to this space. The confluence of business and technology simply captures my imagination as we move into a world increasingly driven and dependent on technology.
What's at the top of your X-List?
Family vacation in an over-water bungalow in the Maldives; I have wanted to do that for a long time and am waiting until my kids are a bit older.
What’s your favorite place in the world?
Our cottage on Lake Muskoka Canada, sitting on the dock, taking boat rides, swimming and, making bonfires under the stars.
What is one of the coolest things that has ever happened to you?
Meeting my wife! After meeting Talia my life changed. She played a major role in the journey of fulfilling my dreams and was always there to support me. I feel that my dream of becoming an entrepreneur, build businesses and work with extraordinary people couldn’t have been possible without her.
What is your personal mantra?
Be yourself, stay hungry, never give up, have fun and no regrets! One lesson I learned early on – When you stand on a bridge, first jump and grow wings as you fall.

Scott McGuiney

Executive Chairman and Chief Financial Officer

Scott has over 20 years of Information Technology consulting experience primarily in the communications and media industries, with a track record of fulfilling commitments and delivery of tangible results to his clients. Most recently, Scott was Managing Partner at Telcocell, a consulting company that was acquired in 2013 by global communications leader, Ericsson. Scott served as a Vice President of Consulting for Ericsson for 2 years post acquisition. Prior to that, Scott spent 15 years consulting at Accenture serving clients in the Communications, High Tech, and Media industries.

Scott graduated from James Madison University in 1995 with a Bachelors of Business Administration majoring in Computer Information Systems. He resides in Leesburg, VA with his wife Preeti and daughter, Savannah. In his free time he likes to spend time with his family, golf, snowboard, travel, hip hop DJ, and is an avid football fan of the JMU Dukes and Washington Redskins.
Why ImagineX?
“During my time at Telcocell, I developed an obsession with the journey of building a business. It is a unique opportunity to test your skills, work as a team, impact client businesses in a positive way, and impact the lives of the people who are part of your journey. At ImagineX, I get to be part of that journey from Day Zero. I get to work with an amazing team of founders that I share pre-existing relationships with. I will learn new skills and technologies that will be critical to computing over the next 20 years. I get to serve clients in new industries and build new relationships that are based on delivering value.”
What's at the top of your X-List?
“I don’t know how this is ever going to happen, but it’s to play 18 holes of golf at Augusta National…..Pine Valley will suffice also.”
What’s your favorite place in the world?
“Without a doubt it’s with my daughter and the rest of my immediate family for a week in the Outer Banks North Carolina. We go every year and it’s always the best week of my year.”
What is one of the coolest things that has ever happened to you?
“Other than the birth of my daughter, it would definitely be that moment when Mickey, Dan, and I came to terms on the Telcocell acquisition deal with Ericsson. It was the culmination of many years of blood, sweat, and tears…and it felt like we were on top of the world.“
What is your personal mantra?
Treat others the way you want to be treated, work hard because someone out there is always trying to outwork you, and try not to overcomplicate what you don’t have to.

He resides in Leesburg, VA with his wife Preeti, daughter Savannah, and son SJ. He and Preeti are expecting a baby girl in July 2020. Scott also has a passion for coaching football, and is currently the Varsity Offensive Line Coach at Tuscarora High School in Leesburg, VA. In his free time he likes to spend time with his family, play competition golf, and snowboard.

When Shaun has a moment to spare, he likes to do yard work and play golf.
Why ImagineX?
“Work should be something you love to do, have passion for, one where you can create a great support system around you. ImagineX is exactly such a place – we are a family and enjoy every moment around each other. Work does not feel like work at all…I wake up every day with a sense of excitement about what we can do as a team who respects and trusts each other implicitly.”
What's at the top of your X-List?
“That’s an easy one: seeing the Northern Lights. It’s probably more achievable than playing a round of golf at Augusta National!”
What’s your favorite place in the world?
“It’s a tie. I would say looking out at the stars from an overwater bungalow on Vahine Island in French Polynesia and going on an early morning safari in Sabi Sands, South Africa.”
What is one of the coolest things that has ever happened to you?
“When I was a kid, probably about 6, my dad took me to his company Golf Tournament and I got a lesson from Gary Player. That was when I got bitten by the golf bug. To this day, I have his autograph in my office reading “To Shaun, Regards Gary Player. I love you”. A little weird but totally awesome!”
What is your personal mantra?
A wrong decision is better than no decision at all.

What's at the top of your X-List?
“Ever since I can remember, I thought it would be amazing to experience true weightlessness. I’d love to be an early adopter of space tourism to get the opportunity to be weightless above the Earth!”
What’s your favorite place in the world?
“Vancouver is tops on my list – hands down. In a short period of time, my family made life-long friends and got to really appreciate its natural beauty. If I had to pick a favorite spot in Vancouver, it would be a walk or run around the Seawall.”
What is one of the coolest things that has ever happened to you?
“The time I had to outswim a shark (or some other marine animal) as I was escaping from Alcatraz. It’s the most adrenaline my body has ever generated! And, it’s a story you really need to hear in person.”

‘You must be the change you wish to see in the world.’ – Gandhi
