ABCs Best Places to Work

The ImagineX Atlanta office was recently ranked #29 for Best Places to Work in the small firm category by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the city’s most respected business publication.  On achieving such a huge honor, we asked our consultants why they feel we are a best place to work:

Drew Moyer, Delivery Lead, Software Engineering: “Great culture with a fun atmosphere. Challenging and rewarding work with enjoyable clients.”

Sekou Langevine, Sr Consultant, Technology Consulting: “ImagineX Consulting is a great place to work because we have leadership that communicate openly with us and allow us to communicate openly with them as well.  There are no egos in place when it comes to getting work done.  We simply pull together and do whatever it takes.  We work hard but when it’s time to relax, we have a great time.”

Jim Fancher, Account Director:  “ImagineX empowers their employees to pursue their passions and enables them to be successful in creating and building a special company to work for.”

Theron McLarty, Sr Consultant, Technology Consulting:  “So many employers pay lip service to “work-life balance”.   iX lives and breathes it. Founders and new joiners alike recognize the need to serve their clients and their families at a level of excellence hard to find at larger firms.  There’s always an open door to grow as a professional and as a team contributor.  The iX culture is in the space between Silicon Valley start-up and a warm Southern breakfast at Waffle House; it’s competitive to the point that it pushes you to new heights and enveloping to the level you can’t wait to return to it.  The camaraderie between teammates is unbeatable compared to anything in my professional career; it makes you want to do the absolute best by our clients. No stifled opinions. We only seek the best solution for our clients.”

Our teamThomas McCracken, Sr Consultant, Software Engineering:  “The Team – I’ve worked in technology for over 10 years now and this is by far the brightest and most diligent team I’ve worked on. Everyone is self-motivated, knowledgable, and professional but also a lot of fun to work with every day.

Our Clients – The clients I’ve had the opportunity to work with have been engaged and enthusiastic about the value IX is bringing them. They’re responsive and helpful at every turn and respectful of our time and our team’s commitments. I’ve been on the consulting/contracting side of the business for over five years and our clients have been the best to work with so far.

The Benefits – the Health benefits and PTO is the best I’ve ever had, hands down. ‘Nuff said.

Leadership – Our leaders are actually leaders, not just managers. I love having a mutual respect with leadership and feel actively involved in the business. I fee like my involvement and input matters to the success of the company.

Fun – We’re always having fun. We have happy hours, baseball games, games in the office. So. much. fun.

Travel – I haven’t traveled so this is N/A for me as a software engineer.”

Shaun Bank, Co-Founder and Managing Director: “out of the thousands of small firms in Atlanta, I am so proud we made the top 30 in just our first year submitting for this award.  It is a validation that the corporate value of “doing the right thing for our consultants, our clients, our company, and our community” was the right north star.  It is incredible to hear that our folks love their work because of the environment they are in, the culture that they have all built, the autonomy around accomplishing their  work, their ability to contribute outside of their client work, and the interesting projects we are delivering in Atlanta and across the country for such a great set of clients.  It is truly an honor of a lifetime to see what we have built in Atlanta and I can’t wait to see what the next few years hold for IX Atlanta as we grow our team without becoming an organization driven by hierarchy and bureaucracy.  Holding true to our corporate 4Cs will ensure we do that.”
